The instructions most people hear when they visit doctors is to eat right and exercise. It is advised so often in medicine and media that it has lost some of its motivational impact. Conversely, advice to be proactive in preventing diseases such as cancer are being more closely adhered to. Fewer people are using tobacco, and others are taking time to apply sunscreen more often. Still, the fact remains that exercise is the number one preventative and curative thing every person can do to some degree that aids in protecting and improving overall health.
